FeedBurner redirects through google.com

Not that it’s news, but I did some quick analysis of FeedBurner, since I figured out they were acquired by Google, like, two years ago.

The links that Google sends visitors to go through Google.com now:

http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Razzed/~3/<some-link-identifier>/

Note: I do not use FeedBurner for my RSS feed… I prefer to keep my visitor information, uh, private.

The point of caring about this is that now Google, in addition to knowing when you update your feeds, also knows which articles you click on, adding to their already massive arsenal of user information.

Hmm. Instead of bitching about Google and privacy issues, I should just buy the stock. After all, it’s a deal at 500 bucks a share.
